BMW premieres the new 5th generation of the M5 "a bold business car that at the push of a button turns into a sports car."
The new generation brings a high-revving 4.4-liter V8 engine with an M TwinPower Turbo package that delivers an impressive 560 hp at 6,000 – 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 502 lb-ft from 1,500 rpm. The model will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and, when the speed limiter is removed, is capable of hitting an impressive top speed of 190 mph. Despite these impressive performance numbers, the car will deliver an estimated fuel economy of 28.5 mpg.
The new BMW M5 will make its world debut this fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Sales will begin shortly after and prices will be announced at a later date.

Finally the Mercedes-Benz reveals the new SLS AMG Roadster. The 6.3 liter turbo engine comes with 571 horsepower and is a beauty. While the SLS brought back to life the iconic 300 SL, the new SLS AMG Roadster is the convertible version of car and once again impresses. The compact fabric soft top of the SLS AMG Roadster opens and closes in just eleven seconds, and can be operated on the move at speeds up to 50 km/h.
The SLS AMG Roadster is fitted with a naturally aspirated eight-cylinder engine that produces the typical rumble of an AMG eight-cylinder engine.
The three-layered fabric soft top is a weight-optimized magnesium/steel/ aluminum construction, and is said to contribute to the car’s low center of gravity.
Boot capacity is 173 liters with the roof either open or closed, and is similar to that of the SLS AMG Coupe, which is 176 liters.
The roadster is open for booking from June 1, with its market launch in the autumn 2011. The selling price is 195,160 euros.
On April 18th, 2011, Volkswagen unveiled the third generation of their iconic Beetle in New York. This is a post I dedicate to my sister who loves this car so much, I am sure she will enjoy skimming through the photos. Below are the details taken from Volkswagen site of this beautiful car.
The Beetle story began in the United States in 1949; the 2012 Beetle continues that story for a new generation. Redesigned for only the second time in history, the all-new Beetle is a modern interpretation of the iconic Beetle design, complete with enhanced performance and fun-to-drive dynamics that define the Volkswagen driving experience.
German-engineered with no compromises, the 2012 Beetle offers the dynamic, fun-to-drive handling that defines the Volkswagen driving experience. In addition to a sportier, retro look, the 2012 Beetle will offer such now-expected amenities as Bluetooth, touch-screen radio, branded audio systems, navigation and ambient lighting. It also offers premium options such as an available panoramic sunroof, Fender Premium audio system, 18- or 19-inch wheels, keyless access and more.
CITROËN and LACOSTE have come together with a shared vision of creativity and optimism and thus came up with the CITROËN LACOSTE concept car. The new concept car is both resolutely CITROËN and typically LACOSTE. The technology on board also strikes a playful note, underlining the seeming paradox between design expertise and lightness of tone.
